Brennan Leach is a junior at the Shipley School in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania. Brennan advocates for progressive issues by public speaking at rallies such as the Women’s March on Philadelphia and the March for Truth. Brennan was an enthusiastic volunteer for Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign and got the chance to ask her a question about Donald Trump’s body shaming of women at a town hall in Haverford, PA. After accusations of being a “paid actress” who was planted in the audience, Brennan went on CNN to defend herself and further explain the significance of Donald Trump’s hurtful message to young girls. This experience opened her eyes to the importance of fighting for progressive values. Outside of the political world, Brennan enjoys creative writing, photography, video production, performing, and cartoon illustration. She is so excited to join the HSDPA community and help encourage young democrats to make their voices heard!
