Sophia Qureshi is a rising junior at Unionville High School in Kennett Square, PA. She is an active member of her school’s HSDPA chapter, captain of the JV Academic Team, president of the Red Cross Club, secretary and founding member of her school’s Students of Color Association, a competitor on the speech and debate team, news section editor on her school’s newspaper The Indian Post, and staff writer on The Progressive Teen. She is also a student group leader at the Interfaith Center of Greater Philadelphia and former fellow for Hillary for America. Her areas of interest include climate change, health care reform, and women’s rights. In her free time, you can find Sophia participating in witty banter, binge-watching Netflix, reading, or eating.
